UPDATE 4.30PM: A Herefordshire Council spokesperson has confirmed the road has now been reopened.
CONCERNS for safety closed a north Herefordshire road this afternoon (Sunday).
A Herefordshire Council spokesperson said the C1126 has been closed between Marden and Sutton St Nicholas due to an 'unsafe structure' on the busy route.
Information from Herefordshire Council's online roadworks map suggests the structure may be a derelict barn, described as being "at risk of collapse".
Temporary traffic lights have been in place either side of the barn, which adjoins the eastbound lane of the carriageway, for some weeks.
