Gzegorz Pliszko, 33, of no fixed address, was jailed after setting fire to a sleeping bag and clothing belonging to another person in Hereford.

Pliszko pleaded guilty to intentionally committing arson on December 12 last year, while subject to a suspended sentence for a previous offence.

Pliszko was jailed for six months and ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge.

Samantha May Kelsall, 28, of Darwen, Lancashire, was caught driving her Vauxhall Zafira without appropriate insurance on the M50 near Ross-on-Wye on August 9.

Kelsall was fined £660 and banned from the roads for six months. She must also pay costs of £85 and a £66 victim surcharge.

Liam Nott, 31, of Pomona Place, Hereford, admitted stealing two bottles of brandy worth a total of £70 from Tesco in Hereford, and possessing a foil-lined bag for use in connection with the theft on December 31.

Nott also admitted breaching a conditional discharge imposed on September 18.

Nott was handed a 12 month community order, fined £75, and must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.

He was also ordered to pay costs of £135 and a £90 victim surcharge.

Gareth Leslie Powell, 38, of Bargates, Leominster, admitted sending threatening text messages, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, and assaulting a woman between December 27 and 29.

Powell was handed a 12 month community order and must carry out 80 hours of unpaid work. He was ordered to pay £185 costs and a £90 victim surcharge.

Martin Raymond Powell, 49, of Vernon Williams Close, Hereford, was banned from the roads after he was caught drink driving on Waterfield Road on March 26.

A breath test revealed Powell had 41 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

Powell was found guilty in his absence at Kidderminster Magistrates Court. He disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £180, and must pay £660 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Stephanie Davies, 62, of Llanwarne, Herefordshire, was banned from the roads after she was caught drink-driving twice.

A blood test showed Davies had 231 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood when she was caught behind the wheel of a Suzuki SX4 on the B4348 near Ross-on-Wye on October 20. The legal limit is 80.

Davies was again caught more than two times over the limit on the same road on December 28.

A breath test revealed she had 89 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

Davies was disqualified from driving for three years, received a 12 month community order, and must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work. She must also pay costs of £135 and a £30 victim surcharge.
