BRAZEN fly-tippers have dumped a load of hedge cuttings on a narrow country road.
Driver Helen Taylor-Davies has warned others to beware. She said: "I nearly crashed into it. It's so dangerous."
Ms Taylor Davies, of Ross-on-Wye, took a picture of the obstruction as it lay in the darkness on the Ross Road, near Bramptons Abbotts, today.
The cuttings have been laid relatively neatly along the road over several yards, but are clearly dangerous. They are near a bend, and leave only a very tight space for vehicles to pass.
The maximum penalty for fly tipping is a £50,000 fine and/or five years imprisonment.
Herefordshire Council advises people who spot fly-tippers in the act to make a note of any vehicle used, including model, colour and registration number. If it is safe to do so without being seen, they should take a photograph or video.
They should note the fly-tippers' clothes, and distinguishing features, as well anything that was said and the speakers' accents.
