SUNDAY, October 27 saw 60 tractors and a few 4x4s turn out for the annual Rhosgoch YFC tractor run raising funds for club's charities.

The start being delayed slightly because of the Wales rugby match, saw most of the community come out and watch the tractors trundled their way out of the start heading along to Painscastle over Rhulen Hill to Cregina, where a right was taken to Glascwm, over to Colva and onto Gladestry.

Then in sight of Dolyhir Quarry a left was taken for the convey to wind their way along the lanes to Yardro and the lunch stop at Knapp Farm, Walton by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Andrew Price.

Here the raffle was drawn and the John Haydn Meredith Memorial Trophy for the best turned out tractor was judged by last year's winner AJ Williams and was awarded to Geoff Pilliner for his Fordson Dexta by Andrew and Tracey Price.

After lunch it was off again down to Walton and over to Old Radnor, back to Dolyhir, which saw the tractors doubling back to Gladestry.

Here a left was taken to head over the hills to Michaelchurch on Arrow, then the tractors headed to Newchurch and the homeward stretch back to Rhosgoch.

Everyone agreed what a super day out it had been.
