This unusual rainbow effect was spotted by Hereford Times Camera Club member Jonjo Martin in Westhope.
He captured the bands of colour closely following the outline of a hillside, in contrast to the normal regular arc that we are all familiar with.
Karen Friedman also took a picture of another less common natural phenomena in Hereford today: a double rainbow (below).
