LEDBURY Rotary Club enjoys a range of informative and interesting speakers and recently had the pleasure in welcoming local optician Jonathan Hill, with his theme of "Why can't I see" - a fascinating insight into eye diseases, and easy solutions to eye care.
His presentation included colour photographs illustrating a variety of problem areas, how our eyes work and what damages them.
Jonathan emphasised the need for a healthy diet, especially green vegetables, and no smoking, but the occasional glass of red wine is beneficial!
Rotary president Jan Long expressed her gratitude for his educational, humorous, thought provoking and illuminating talk, and handed a consignment of old spectacles which will be sent to his project in Uganda.
If you have old glasses, please hand them in to Boots Opticians for re-use abroad.
