ST MARTIN'S women bowlers are out to prove that bowls is a fun game for all ages.

On Friday, June 14 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm they will be opening the doors for a free evening of lawn bowls (outdoors) for women to come and try this game in a relaxed environment where the emphasis is on fun, fitness and friendship.

Playing regularly has proven benefits for mental and physical health by gentle exercise, making new friends and feeling part of a community activity where you can get involved in many ways, not just bowling.

The green is in prime condition and the bar will be open so why not try this very sociable sport.

Don't be daunted by a new challenge - come alone, bring your sisters, daughters, mothers and aunts or make it a night out with a group of friends - either way you will be made very welcome by the women of St Martin's.

Bowls are provided, just wear flat shoes or trainers and comfortable clothing.
