JESSE Norman has been given a new role in government, moving from the Department of Transport to the Treasury.
Now Financial Secretary to the Treasury, the MP for Hereford and South Herefordshire is responsible for corporate and small business tax, VAT as well as European and international tax issues, among others.
He takes over from Mel Stride, who was appointed the new leader of the House of Commons following Andrea Leadsom's resignation yesterday.
He had been Minister of State at the Department for Transport since November 2018, and has been Hereford's MP since 2010.
