Join The Courtyard and The Music Pool for their joint fundraiser Sing Choir Sing at The Courtyard next week.

The organisations have brought together eight of the county’s finest singing groups and choirs – including Academia Musica, Choral Diversity, Garrick Singers, The Decibelles, Hay Shantymen and Hereford Soul Choir. A variety of young soloists will also be performing at this special evening, compered by X-Entricity director (and Courtyard Board member) Steve Liddle.

Preceding the main event will be a special foyer performance at 7pm from Trinity Primary School who were runners-up in Sunshine Radio’s Christmas Choir Competition in 2018.

Courtyard Fundraising Manager (Individual Giving) Melanie Denning said “This is the second time we’ve gathered eight of Herefordshire’s most talented choirs together and we hope it’ll be another sell-out success, raising funds for The Music Pool and The Courtyard charities. You’ll see young and older singers, with repertoires ranging from classical to folk, pop and soul. This year, we’re delighted to welcome two of Hay on Wye’s finest ensembles – The Decibelles and The Hay Shantymen. Music to make the soul sing… not to be missed!”

The evening promises to be an eclectic night of choral singing from choirs large and small, raising the roof as well as lots of money for two of Herefordshire’s best loved arts charities.

Sing Choir Sing will be in The Courtyard’s Main House on Friday, May 10 at 7.30pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
