TRAIn enthusiasts will be able to catch sight of one of the most powerful steam trains ever built to run in the UK as it passes through Hereford on Monday.
Built in Crewe in 1938, The Duchess of Sutherland is scheduled to stop at Hereford Railway Station shortly after midday as it travels from Taunton to Preston as part of a steam tour around Great Britain.
The train will arrive at Hereford at 12.08pm to take on water, before leaving at 12.47pm, arriving 15 minutes later at Leominster.
No. 6233 was originally built to haul fast express passenger services between London and Glasgow, but after being restored, Duchess was the first steam train to haul the Royal Train for 35 years for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2002.
