THE Presteigne and Marches Investment Clubs have recently held their respective AGMs.
Membership, for both clubs, remains at the legal maximum of 20 and, despite a downturn in portfolio values due to external national and global influences, both clubs have fared better than the FTSE.
With 40 members - plus partners, friends and family - social functions are always well attended, with conversation usually more about Brexit and beer than stocks and shares.
Their last evening out was to the Cider Barn, in Pembridge, with a summer outing to Zip World, in North Wales, being planned for later this year.
These experiences are valued almost as much as deciding which shares to buy and sell at their monthly meetings.
To be put on the clubs' joint membership waiting list, or for further information, please contact Jonathan Wilson on 01544 262712.
