On Saturday, February 9, violinist Charlotte Rowan will perform for the Music in New Radnor concert series with her long-term accompanist Charlotte Stevens.

Since graduating from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Charlotte has gained recognition as an exhilarating performer, combining a lyricism and impassioned mastery of the violin with dazzling technical proficiency. While still in America, she gave recitals for Baltimore Chamber Music Society, performed for the Justice of the Supreme Court, Sonia Sotomayor and participated in masterclasses with Midori and the Juilliard String Quartet.

Now back in Britain, Charlotte performs extensively with pianist Charlotte Stevenson, with whom she has collaborated for more than 20 years. Their deep musical bond shares a love of music, a love of performing, a mutual understanding of interpretation and a mutual curiosity not only to expand the violin repertoire but revive forgotten masterpieces.

Mary Tolhurst, speaking for MiNR says: "We are very excited about this concert. The two Charlottes share a refreshing approach to concert programming. From their Cathedral recitals to their critically acclaimed festival appearances they have a reputation for inspiring their audiences with 'a compelling and exciting musical narrative'.”

Doors at New Radnor Community Hall will open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. To book, call 01544 350268. Tickets will also be available on the door.
