WHITBOURNE village shop wanted to raise extra funds for the Royal British Legion in this centenary year of the end of the First World War.
The shop sold poppies, as they do every year , but also held a charity hamper draw to boost the amount raised.
The shop donated the contents of the hamper and sold tickets for £1 each.
Every penny of the ticket sales went into the poppy collecting tub which was full to the brim by Remembrance Sunday.
