THE Courtyard are delighted to announce that its 20th Anniversary Gala Dinner fundraising event raised an incredible £10,700.

Over 160 guests were treated to a fabulous night of 1920s themed entertainment, food and music on September 22.

The evening included excerpts from Bugsy Malone (the first youth production to be performed at The Courtyard 20 years ago) performed by members of The Courtyard Youth Theatre, Hereford Academy of Dance and X-Entricity Theatre Company. This was followed by a three course dinner prepared and served by Courtyard staff and stewards and rounded off with a performance by local party band, The Hey Yahs.

Special thanks goes to all staff, stewards, board members and volunteers as well as sponsors Cotswold Hereford MINI and BMW. The main house was transformed into a 1920s style space with invaluable support from Hampton Hire, The Hibiscus Room and BSTYLED.

"What a night to remember!" said individual giving manager Melanie Denning. "This was the first time we've ever held a sit-down dinner with entertainment in our main house but the feedback was overwhelmingly positive and the brilliant fundraising total was the cherry on the cake. Having kicked off our birthday in style, there are plenty more events and activities to help us reach our Anniversary Appeal total of £70,000 by next August.'
