ON Wednesday, October 24 the 6th annual World Polio Day is celebrated worldwide.
The live streamed event is being held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and will bring together everyone, including the Bill Gates Foundation, who has worked towards the eradication of polio.
The Knighton and District Rotary Club will be also celebrating the progress in the fight against polio by holding a stall at the Knighton Community Market on Saturday, October 27 as well as in Brookside Square in Knighton.
In addition, they will have a presence in Presteigne. Look out for their "Purple for Polio" bunting!
