UPDATE:

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said Tout has now been charged with escaping lawful custody and will appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Original Story:

CONVICTED rapist Bradley Tout has handed himself in five days after escaping court.

Police had been searching for the 20-year-old after he escaped from Worcester Crown Court moments after being convicted on Wednesday (October 3).

Many of Tout's friends and family members were visited at all times of the day and night during the search, and at one point Tout's dad, Matt, made a direct appeal to his son to give himself up.

West Mercia Police has confirmed he handed himself in at Worcester Police Station this morning.

Tout fled from the court after being convicted - along with Kulin Odedra of Canterbury Road - of the rape of a 16-year-old girl at County Hall car park in 2016.

Tout, of Durham Road, Ronkswood, was sentenced in his absence on Thursday (October 4) to seven-and-a-half years in prison.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "Bradley Tout has handed himself in to police and remains in custody at this time.

"Thanks to everyone who shared our earlier appeal."
