A BLACK Labrador which provides therapy to residents living in care homes will be one of six finalists at Crufts.
Lulu is owned by Carol Clare in Yarpole and for the last two and a half years has been a therapy dog.
They are volunteers with the national charity Pets As Therapy (PAT) which sees trusted volunteers and their behaviourally assessed animals visit care homes, hospitals, hospices and a variety of other venues.
Lulu has been selected to be one of six finalists for the PAT Dog of the Year 2019 and the winner will be announced at Crufts next March.
Mrs Clare said: "Lulu does so much that people can't do. When she goes into the home the residents sit up and their eyes brighten."
The four-year-old dog goes into Forbury Care Home in Leominster and Lynhales Nursing Home in Lyonshall.
The readers of Yours magazine will be voting for the winner.
