HOME-START Herefordshire held their 36th AGM at the Meeting House, King Street on September 21.
The local charity's scheme manager Mandie Preece talked about the good work the service provides for fragile and vulnerable families, "We have had an incredibly busy year celebrating many great achievements in terms of our service delivery, including being awarded a two year contract which will enable us to continue to provide our valuable volunteer befriending service for Herefordshire families.
"During the last year HSH supported 167 families which included 312 children".
Guest speaker Professor Jamie Hacker-Hughes a consultant clinical psychologist, cognitive behavioural psychotherapist from London spoke about how important it is for sufferers to have someone to talk too and the reassurance that they are being listened to and not alone.
He also spoke about our brains being organs that needs to be looked after from before birth.
