GLADESTRY Village Hall had some unusual guests last Tuesday evening.
The evening's speaker, Tim Churchill, had brought with him a selection of birds of prey from Valley View Falcons in Nantmel.
The occasion was an open evening for the local community and guests organised by Gladestry WI.
The audience was enthralled by the sight of Bilbo a male Boobook owl from Australia, Rossi a male Saker falcon and a rare female red back variant hawk from Argentina.
Sue Mullin, president of Gladestry WI said 'It was so good to welcome friends, some of them new to the area, also to hear of the wonderful conservation work Tim undertakes at his falconry'.
