HEREFORD Food Bank is looking for a new base after they have been given notice to quit their Aubrey Street premises.

The food bank currently runs from unit 5 at 32, Aubrey Street but now needs to find alternative accommodation.

The Hereford Food Bank has been functioning since 2008 and is a registered charity.

Volunteers collect, store and package food at the Aubrey Street base, which is then given to those who can’t afford to feed themselves and their families for various reasons.

Almost all of the food supplied is donated by local people - both individuals and businesses.

If you think you can help them find a new premises contact Jacquie Alsop on 01432 35334.

There are a number of drop-off points for donations of food in the city including the cathedral, Hereford Library and the Hereford Times office.

They always need: tinned meat (stews, casseroles, ham), tinned vegetables, Smash, UHT/dried milk, sugar, tinned fruit, rice pudding, custard, coffee, toothpaste, soap and toilet rolls.
