TWENTY six wedding dresses have been tracked down and will return to St Faith's, Dorstone where they were first worn, ready for the display at the Wedding Festival over the weekend of September 15-16 from 10am - 4.30pm.

The church will be decorated with wedding flowers and 55 sets of wedding photographs, with several local families tracing three generations of brides, the earliest from 1906.

On Sunday 16th only, there will be tea and cakes from 4.15pm to 5pm, followed by an Organ Recital from 5pm - 6pm with Peter Dyke, assistant director of music at Hereford Cathedral.

All donations from the Festival Weekend will be for an Organ Fund, as the recently refurbished pipe organ, built by Eustace Ingrams of Hereford, has been played at St Faith's weddings since 1892.

This Festival is one of several community projects, which support the re-hanging of Dorstone church bells, generously funded by HLF and other charities.

The six bells will be re-dedicated by Bishop Richard at the Armistice Day Centenary Service on Sunday, November 11.
