A BBC period drama series inspired midwives and support workers from Hereford County Hospital to dress up for a cycle ride.

The NHS workers dressed up in outfits based on the Call The Midwife series about a group of nurse midwives working in the East End of London in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

The charity cycle ride saw the group cycle through Hereford to the Castle Green. Once there, they had a picnic and played games.

So far they have raised £1,130 for the Born Sleeping Appeal and the Hereford Birth Suite.

The event was organised by midwife Theresa Bell. To donate to the appeal go to justgiving.com/fundraising/t-bell1.
