A VOLUNTEER from Herefordshire was given his regional volunteer award from Macmillan Cancer Support at the Hereford Cider Museum.

Selwyn Kendrick was presented with the Regional Macmillan Sir Hugh Dundas Award in recognition of a volunteer who goes above and beyond all other criteria to make an outstanding contribution to Macmillan.

Selwyn has been volunteering for Macmillan for 18 years, using his personal cancer experience to help others.

Peter Rowland who has worked with him on the Macmillan 4x4 Challenge since it began presented him with the award.

Selwyn has strong links with the museum, as he had his first meeting with Macmillan there to discuss the Mac 4x4, the fundraising event he started in 2001.

He also used to chauffeur for the Bulmer family so is very fond of the museum.
