More than 100 people will be taking part in The Communication Tree at The Courtyard this summer.

This inclusive, relaxed performance, produced by Dancefest in partnership with The Music Pool and The Courtyard, uses dance, theatre, live music, film and digital projection to explore branches of communication from cave paintings to telegrams, all the way through to the technology of the digital age. It encourages audiences to understand how we relate to the world and to each other in a unique way. The Communication Tree is part of Big Jigsaw, Dancefest’s access and inclusion programme, which aims to challenge, surprise and push boundaries in inclusive dance, working across Herefordshire and Worcestershire with disabled and non-disabled people of all ages.

Michele Holder, who manages Dancefest’s Access and Inclusion programme, says: “It’s a delight to bring together so many people of all ages and abilities for this production of The Communication Tree, a story that leads us back to the chalky dust drawings of early man, right up to the modern world with communication in an instant!”

The Communication Tree will be in The Courtyard’s Main House on Thursday, July 5 at 7.30pm and Friday, July 6 at 1pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
