SEVENTY years of the NHS were celebrated at the Historical Hereford Day.
Hereford City's Labour Party branch were among those on the Castle Green and took the opportunity to get the party started early before the NHS' official anniversary next Thursday.
Carol Swart, the secretary of the Hereford branch, said: "We had a birthday card for the NHS and collected many stories and signatures from people at the fair.
"The card will go to NHS workers to thank them for the outstanding work that they have done in the 70 years since the NHS was founded."
