Young and old descended on the city’s King George V playing fields to make their way through the biggest Paint Runner to date, set to raise thousands of pounds for St Michael’s Hospice.
Over 70 St Michael's volunteers helped cover 1,500 fundraisers in paint during one of Hereford’s most colourful annual events.
This year was the most colourful in the event’s short history with six paint stations, including a rainbow station towards the end of the five-kilometre run.
Integral to the success of the event are the volunteers, which included staff from a number of county businesses, who filled various roles including paint throwers and marshals.
There was added fun at the end thanks to the return of the Foam Zone.
‘Once again, this sell-out event has helped make The Paint Runner another memorable day,’ said Matt Ashcroft, the Hospice’s Events Manager.
He thanked all those who made The Paint Runner happen, including event sponsors Brightwells, plus Fluidmaster, DF Legal solicitors, Quickskip Recycling and Impact Print.
The Hospice’s Events programme continues on Sunday, July 8, with the Sue Parry football tournament, before the Wheelie Big Cycle on Sunday, July 15.
