HEREFORD striker John Mills has not received any major damage to his knee.
The Bulls marksman had to come off against Bishop's Stortford 10 days ago and didn't feature in last weekend's encounter against Biggleswade Town.
Manager Pete Beadle says he has only sustained a small nick in the cartilage behind the patella and it will just be a case of managing it until the end of the season.
"There will be some games that he will be a bit sore in, but the good news is that there is no significant damage," said Hereford manager Pete Beadle.
"A lot will depend on what John's pain threshold is, but the doctors have said that he can manage it until the end of the season and then maybe it can be tidied up.
Beadle added that Mills won't be involved for tomorrow's game at Dunstable Town, but could be in contention for Tuesday's home fixture with St Neots Town.
