WELSH Water says the pumps at the Whitbourne Water Treatment Works have been restored.
Supplies in all affected areas should begin to return during the day and the company is urging customers to minimise their usage to help the recovery.
As a precaution, customers in the following areas are advised to boil their tap water before drinking or using it in food preparation for at least the next 48 hours.
Affected areas:
Bromyard Town, Upper Sapey, Edwyn Ralph, Tedstone Delamere, Tedstone Wafre, Bromyard Downs, Bringsty Common, Linley Green, Stamford Bishop, Acton Green, Acton Beauchamp, Ridgeway Cross, Cradley, Stifford's Bridge, Storridge, Mundersfield, Stoke Lacy, Pencombe, Little Cowarne, Ullingswick, Bredenbury, Grendon, Bishop Hatfield, Pudleston, Kimbolton, Leysters, Middleton-on-the-hill, Brimfield, Little Hereford, Blythewood.
The company apologises for any inconvenience caused but says:" Protecting public health is our highest priority."
