CROWDS turned out for the annual Mop Fair in Ledbury High street where a procession led by Clive Gunn the Town Crier, from the council offices arrived at the "Waltzer" fairground ride to hear Mayor Elaine Fieldhouse officially declare the fair open.
A student from Salters Hill Charity was thrilled to cut the red ribbon and both she and the Mayor were presented with bouquets of flowers from the Showman's guild.
The young and not so young including Carnival Princess and attendants, the Mayor and her party, enjoyed an evening of fun, exciting fairground attractions, a variety of food stalls, and happy atmosphere caringly watched by our marvellous community police, David Alexander and Martin Fuegusson.
