MANY musicians will be seen busking in Ross-on-Wye this weekend as part of a new festival

The Ross-on-Wye Busking Festival takes place this Saturday in the town, organised by Nick Penny in conjunction with CreateROSS and Ross Town Council.

Musicians are invited to turn up on the day and register their interest, book a slot on the open-mic stage which will be in the Market Place and then busk around the town at identified spots.

Nick started a similar festival in Coleford five years ago which has now grown into Coleford Music Festival.

In 2014 the concept of a busking festival grew legs and a new event was run in conjunction with the Monmouth Festival - this too has become an annual feature for Monmouth.

Woody ‘Zimmerframe’ Muddy is booked to MC the main stage at the event in Ross (which runs from 10am to 4pm) and also intends to treat the crowds to renditions of some of his greatest protest songs.
