A FARM near Bromyard has benefited from an imaginative group of racers.
The West Midlands Lawn Mower Racing Association involves people of all ages jumping on modified lawn mowers and racing behind their local pubs.
They meet eight times a year around the Bromyard and Tenbury area and raise money for local charities.
Their latest donation – of £250 – has been given to Longlands Care Farm.
Longlands, in Whitbourne, helps teenagers who struggle with school and lets them experience real work on a farm, completing land based studies.
They have outgrown their current headquarters – a converted tractor shed – and the money will help with the building of a new timber, straw bale and cob roundhouse.
