HEREFORDSHIRE Council aims to rapidly increased the number of targeted and supported housing for vulnerable young people.
The council has developed a new strategic approached to meeting accommodation needs to support disabled young people and care leavers.
The strategy aims to give this group of young people the best possible start as they transition into adulthood.
The strategy said: "This involves new housing development, allied to commissioning of care and support and offers the opportunity to improve outcomes for young people and generate some savings."
The council's vision is that by 2024 all disabled young people with eligible needs and all vulnerable young people will have access to targeted or supported housing which is appropriate to their needs.
The council is also working with Aspire Living and Herefordshire Housing to provide accommodation.
