ROSS Town Council has instructed bailiffs to evict a camper who has been staying at the bandstand in the town.
The council made an application for possession at Caroline Symonds Gardens, Long Acre and the Rope Walk following the encampment at the bandstand by the River Wye.
A civil hearing took place at Gloucester County Court and the judge granted the order and the camper, Samantha Lamputt was informed she would have to vacate the area forthwith.
She has been staying there for a number of weeks. Police said she had not broken any laws as far as the police are concerned, which is why a civil case was held.
The council has instructed bailiffs to carry out an eviction which will be taking place shortly
