TWO men caused £450 worth of damage as they tried to break into a flat in Broad Street, Leominster.

The incident took place at around 1am on Saturday, July 7 and involved two men who forced entry into a communal door, damaging a Yale lock in the process.

Once inside the building they cracked a window in a rear entry door to an associated premises, before smashing another door window and gaining entry to a flat. When challenged by the occupants, the men left the building.

Police believe the incident is linked to an earlier verbal altercation between the two men and another man at Euphoria nightclub, which resulted in a chase on foot.
