MORE than £3,000 was raised at a charity golf day in memory of a 10-year-old boy.
Alfie Hyett passed away suddenly in March 2016, which, a county coroner ruled, followed an 'act of childhood curiosity.'
The money raised will go to the charity, 4louis, which donates memory boxes to hospitals, to give to parents after they have lost a child.
The contents of the box help families to find their own way through the grief.
The first Alfie Hyett Charity Golf Day, organised by his dad, Nick, and other family members was held at Brampton Golf Course and there are still more funds to come in.
The organisers thanked Brampton Golf Club, everyone who came on the day, and people who donated prizes and money.
The day included golf, raffles and an auction.
