ANGELIQUE (Ange) Williams is Knighton's new county councillor.
Mother of three, Ange was born just over the border but has lived on a farm just outside Knighton for many years with her children and husband David who has just become a Knighton town councillor.
Ange has always had close connections with Knighton where her father Mac Beddoes has been a barber for over 30 years.
All her children went to Knighton primary school and she has been a keen supporter of many local events. Her interests include the dementia awareness group KINDA and local trade.
She will be at the Knighton Community Market once or twice a month and be happy to talk to everyone about a any subject regarding the town.
Ange said "I hope everyone will find me very approachable because I enjoy listening to people talking about their issues and how things can be improved. I know being a county councillor will be a positive experience for me and I'm hoping to help get the town through the difficult times both now and in the future. Finally I would like to thank everyone who voted for me and all my family and friends who have continually supported me".
