FIFTY green and yellow balloons were released in Herefordshire as part of an international event to help find missing Madeleine McCann.
The four year-old was taken from her family's hotel room in the Portuguese holiday resort of Praia da Luz in May, and to mark 50 days since her disappearance, balloons carrying Madeleine's image were released from hundreds of locations around the world last Friday.
Herefordshire played its part thanks to mum-of-two Karen Turner and her three year-old daughter Annabelle (pictured right).
Karen, from Credenhill, has been following the search for Madeleine closely from the start and decided that she just had to do something to help.
"I had looked at where the balloon launches would be on the Campaign for Madeleine website, and noticed there wasn't one in Hereford."
