A LORRY overturned after the grass verge on which it was lodged collapsed, causing it to slide down onto the riverbank below.
The articulated lorry, which was carrying potatoes, was travelling down the Hoarwithy to Carey road on Monday morning when a set of its wheels became stuck in a grass verge.
The verge gave way causing the vehicle to slip down onto the river bank below.
The lorry then overturned and came to rest with its wheels in the air. The driver was not hurt.
Two fire crews from Ross-on-Wye attended the scene and closed the road while they recovered the vehicle.
