TWO mathematics teachers from Shanghai showed a different way of teaching at a county primary school.
Giu Yunzi and She Tianyi worked alongside maths co-ordinator Fiona Wood at Whitchurch C of E Primary School for two weeks, as a follow-up to Ms Wood's research visit to Shanghai in November.
Ms Wood is among 70 expert maths teachers from schools across England taking part in an exchange for the Maths Hubs programme which helps teachers in English schools introduce mastery approaches to teaching maths.
More than 100 teachers from across Herefordshire and Shropshire have visited Whitchurch to see the different style of teaching.
Children at Whitchurch have also been enthralled with the teaching, sharing ideas, discussing their learning and making progress in maths.
