THE number of people out of work has remained stable.
For the month of June in Herefordshire there were 1,110 people claiming out of work benefits.
This figure includes people aged 16 to 64 who are claiming Jobseeker's Allowance and the Universal Credit.
There are 240 18 to 24-year-olds who are claiming.
Mike Dzioba of Jobcentre Plus said these figures remain fairly stable compared to last month.
He said: "We are still doing lots of work with all of our claimants and employers to help and support them to get a job, help them increase their hours and to secure better work and better employment."
He said nationally wages have increased by 2.2 percent but did not have the figures for Herefordshire specifically.
There is a job fair with 30 employers on September 8 at the Shirehall in Hereford. To find our more call 01432 363674/ 363705.
