THE annual Macmillan walk in Knighton raised over £1,000.
Over 30 people took park in the sponsored walk that started from the car park behind the Knighton Hotel.
They all went up Broad Street, to West Street and the Offa's Dyke centre and then down to the river, following the path to Kinsley Road. When they reached Kinsley road they headed back towards town finishing in the Horse and Jockey where they all had biscuits and drinks provided by Jacqui and Gary Salt.
Liz George chairman of the Knighton Macmillan Cancer Support Group thanked everyone who took part in the event and all those who sponsored them adding "The final figure is not known yet and will be announced when we know, thank you everyone".
