THERE will be eight new tourist information sites in Ross-on-Wye based at existing businesses in the town.
The newly formed Ross-on-Wye Tourism Association (RTA) wants to boost tourism in the market town and has provided strategically placed information points.
Window posters will identify the eight locations where visitors will find a town map, leaflets, event information and lists of accommodation.
RTA spokeswoman Yolande Watson said: “This is just the beginning of an intensive drive to increase visitor numbers and publicise just what a lovely place Ross-on-Wye is to visit and a perfect centre from where to explore the local area."
The eight locations are:
- Ross Information Service in Corn Exchange, High Street;
- Made in Ross (first floor of the Market House);
- Mandy Moo’s, Cantilupe Road;
- Return to Splendour, Gloucester Road;
- Hope Treasures cafe next to the Hope and Anchor:
- Raglan House Cafe and Guest House, Broad Street;
- Little Chic Children's Clothes Toy Boutique
- The House of Mole, Brookend Street.
