AN event to remember the devastation that came after the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima will take place in Hereford next month.
Hereford Peace Council members and friends will gather at the Peace Council cherry tree in Hereford Crematorium at 12pm on Thursday August 6.
There will be readings and a short period of silence to remember the 200,000 people who died when the bomb was dropped on the same date in 1945.
Felicity Norman, Mayor of Leominster, will also be attending.
