Motorists are being advised that temporary traffic lights will be used on the A49 just south of Hereford on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
The temporary signals will operate from 8pm to 6am each night to allow workmen to surface the temporary stretch of road which will take traffic off the A49 to allow a new roundabout to be built.
This roundabout will connect the A49 with the new Rotherwas access road.
To ensure the safety of motorists and allow workmen to lay the new tarmac surface during the night, floodlights will be installed.
The work should be complete by the end of the week and traffic on the A49 will be diverted onto the temporary stretch of road next week.
