A SHOP in Ross-on-Wye ran out of ice cream on the hottest July day recorded in the UK.
On Wednesday, Tudor Sweets on the High Street, sold out of ice cream as visitors flocked to the shop to cool down, with the thermometer hitting 36.7C at Heathrow airport.
Owner Daniel Pearce said: “It was unbelievable. I’ve never seen anything like it in the five years we have been here- we had queues of people lining up outside the door for our traditional hand scooped ice cream.”
A delivery of more ice cream arrived the next day.
