A MAN has been charged in relation to a cash-machine robbery at Morrisons in Ross-on-Wye.
John Doherty, 41, of Strauss Close in Liverpool has been charged with two counts of robbery- the other charge relates to an offence near Preston.
On October 24 last year a cash-in-transit van was targeted while delivering money to the supermarkets' cash machines and around £40,000 was stolen.
Detective sergeant Andy Bennett said: "This charging decision is a culmination of some great detective work from the team, and a close co-operation with both Lancashire Police, and Merseyside Police.
"We'd like to thank everyone who assisted with the investigation and reassure the public that matters like these will be thoroughly investigated and brought before the courts."
Doherty, who was originally arrested in January, is due to appear at Preston Crown Court this Wednesday.
