RUNAWAY cows have closed Herefordshire's only motorway.
The cattle escaped when a trailer overturned on the M50 near junction three at Gorsley at 11am this morning.
Some of the cattle were injured but still managed to run across the Gloucestershire border.
This caused the Highways Agency to shut the motorway from junction 2 near Redmarley D'Abitot to junction 4 at Ross-on-Wye.
The road is still closed and police are attempting to usher the animals on to a smaller B road.
