UNION Street will be closed for the next few days after a sinkhole appeared in the road at the weekend.
The hole appeared on Saturday afternoon and Highways Maintenance attended and closed the road.
Spokesman for Herefordshire Council, Michelle Morgan, said this morning: "The sinkhole in Union Street appeared Saturday afternoon and Welsh Water were contacted.
"Welsh Water have been carrying out some investigation work over the weekend and are back on site this morning to continue excavation work.
"We will have an update from Welsh Water this afternoon. However, the public should expect Union Street to be closed for a few days.”
