THE Lodon Valley Easter art exhibition took place in Stoke Lacy Village Hall from April 4 through to April 6 and featured a display of art-works by artists with a local connection. The event was organised by Nigel and Daphne Montandon of Stoke House, Colin Simmonds, John Westwood and David Spurrier and they were supported by the Wye Valley Brewery and by a myriad of local villagers.
The event was well-attended and many of the exhibiting artists were on hand to discuss (and even to sell) their works.
Charles Morgan formally opened the exhibition which featured paintings by Brian Gorst, Tony James, David Mckeeman, Nigel Montandon, Tony Muckle, Annabelle Oppenheimer, Colin Simmonds, David Spurrier and Kim Williams.
There were also contributions from Burley Gate and Pencombe Primary Schools, on display in the foyer and it was quite possible to see many forthcoming artists in the making.
