HEREFORD firefighters, returning from a fire in Belmont, gave first aid to a passing pedestrian who had been taken ill.
The man, who had collapsed on the pavement, was spotted by the fire crew near to the Oval on Belmont Road just after 5pm yesterday.
They administered first aid before calling an ambulance to take the man to Hereford County Hospital for further treatment.
The fire service had been returning from a tree fire in Westholme Road.
